Adrian studied film in London and started his career working in visual effects production.
Pleased to Eat You! is Adrian’s second comedy. He has a passion for visual storytelling and exploring the formal aspects of cinema, and enjoys developing a unique style to best suit every story. He is interested in drama, genre, music and poetry.
His films have shown at festivals including Telluride, Palm Springs Shorts Fest, LA Shorts, Newport Beach, The London Short Film Festival, and have been distributed internationally by the British Council.
Alexis has composed scores for over 40 short and feature films that have screened at Cannes, Telluride and more. In 2016, his first opera was staged at Kings Place. He holds a doctorate from Goldsmiths, University of London, where he is Associate Lecturer. Pleased to Eat You! is the sixth short film that Alexis and Adrian have collaborated on.
Director of Photography
Aadel’s eye has always wandered out the window, so replacing the window with a viewfinder was the natural step. It’s this curiosity that cemented his love of photography and its ability to evoke emotion.
He has applied his vivid and energetic style to both fiction and documentary feature films, and he also works in advertising, having shot acclaimed campaigns for Land Rover and Bentley.
Actor and Co-Writer
Oliver works across film, television and theatre, as an actor, writer and director.
As an actor, he notably played Kenny Everett in the BAFTA-winning The Best Possible Taste, for which he was nominated as Best Actor at the RTS awards. Other credits include: Dr Who, Vanity Fair, Requiem and Sherlock.
Theatre credits include: The Quiet House (Birmingham Rep); The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance (Park Theatre) and lead roles in many productions with Les Enfants Terribles.
Actor and Co-Writer
Anthony is an experienced writer and an actor on stage and television.
On the UK stage he has starred in Horrible Histories - Barmy Britain, played Salvador Dali in Hysteria and schizophrenic ventriloquist Albert Frog in dark comedy The Vaudevillains. He has co-written several acclaimed West End shows for Les Enfants Terribles theatre company, including the Olivier-nominated Alice’s Adventures Underground and Roald Dahl's Dinner at the Twits.
On screen, Anthony appeared in three series of Doctor Who and has written and starred in numerous short films. Pleased to Eat You! is his second short film collaboration with Adrian, after A Woodcutter’s Tale.
